The Cadre

• mighty_colts now fills the President / Statistician positions effective 2006.

• Magic continues his Treasurer duties, all Chips will be handled by him as usual.  Magic also becomes the new Director of Player Personel (DoPP), handling new recruits and banning all drunk Puerto Ricans!!

Message Board

The Bookie Challenge now has a dedicated, fully functional forum to post picks.  Please make the board titled "The Spread Sheet" the only place you post your picks. Each week the lines for the upcoming weekend will be posted there.

If you opt to keep your picks unknown to your division rivals, you can send your selections to the Cadre via PM (private message) from the message board, or via email from this website, or send Magic a private email. Selections sent to the official BC email address on the Contact page will be read by mighty_colts. Sending them to Magic's private address means they will be read by.....Magic!! Ask him personally for his private address. As long as your picks are mailed to one of those two guys BEFORE the GameDay Posting Deadline, you're picks are valid. Doing that will prevent other players in your division from copying your picks or "playing off your picks", as they will not see your selections until after the *GameDay Posting Deadline*.  This new twist replaces the former "Hedge Rule" and is a perfectly viable strategy to protect yourself.

• The GameDay Posting Deadline is opening kickoff of the earliest game that specific day.  Once the deadline passes, you cannot select any team which plays that specific day. There are NO exceptions to this rule!!! You snooze, you lose.

• Selections sent to either mighty_colts or Magic are NOT shared between those two guys, your picks are confidential.

• Each player will need to register at the new forum. Rookies should  email the cadre with their mail address and message board handle so their info will be stored in the player database (used for pornographic spam)

• The Spread Sheet can be found each week both on this website and at the forum.

Editing Policy

After you post your picks on the message board, you may edit them as you please until they are officially recorded on the website or until the GameDay Posting Deadline.  Also, your selections do not have to actually be up on the website for them to be valid, just make sure you post them before the GPD. As a general rule, your selections will not be posted to the website until some time after the GPD in order to give everybody the full opportunity to edit right up until Opening Kickoff that specific day. But the Cadre reserves the right to post your selections to the website at any time after you post them on the message board, Once your picks are up on the website, you can no longer edit them. But sometimes your picks are not posted to the website at all, so you don't have anything to worry about if that's the case.....unless your picks suck!!
